Why walk when you can fly!
Hollybank Treetops Adventure is Tasmania’s newest tourism
venture. Visitors glide across the treetops in this
award winning and unique forest canopy tour, gaining a bird's-eye view
of Tasmania's beautiful forests. This fantastic adventure
lasts 3 hours and is unlike any other Australian nature
experience, and visitors will see the trees and forest
ecology in a new light and learn about our growing and
vibrant Tasmanian forests.
Gliding along wires and attached by harnesses, thrill-seekers
are led by knowledgeable and highly-trained guides through
the treetops and above the Pipers River. The journey
includes cable spans of between 15 metres and 371 metres,
connected by tree platforms called 'cloud stations'.
Following the adventure, visitors make their way back
to the Visitor's Centre along a pathway of beautiful,
mature trees planted early in the 20th century. Here,
visitors can relax and share their experiences over
a drink or snack, or move out into the grounds of the
Hollybank Forest Reserve for a barbecue or picnic at
one of the many facilities available on site.
