What is a Canopy Tour?
Canopy or Zipline Tours are a new nature and adventure based activity of the world-wide tourism industry.
Canopy Tours involve participants making their way up into the treetops of the forest and soaring between platforms along steel cables, known as ziplines. The platforms, called Cloud Stations are constructed around the trunks of large trees, within the mid canopy level of the forest – typically at heights up to 30m above the forest floor.
The distances between our platforms vary from 15m to 400m. Guests are geared up and attached to the safety cables with pulleys that allow guests to glide through the forest canopy and land safely at the next platform.
Hollybank Treetops Adventure combines the tranquillity of the forest with the adrenalin of sliding above and through a beautiful natural environment on a flying fox.
Guides will begin the approx 3-hour by leading the group on a 600m walk from Reception to the starting zipline. Guides will share with guests their wealth of knowledge about the ecology about the forest and the ecofriendly practises we maintain.
After the tour, you will arrive back at the Reception to relax and enjoy coffee from our new Cafe while our guides prepare a USB filled with photos of your experience to take home.
